Communication Graduate association (CGA)
We, the Graduate Students of the School of Communication at the University of Southern Mississippi, hereby associate ourselves to promote the practice, development, and field of communication while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment where graduate students can build meaningful connections, engage in scholarly pursuits, and find community beyond the classroom through the following activities:

Digital nest Media (DNM)
Digital Nest Media is the student-led media production organization on Southern Miss’ campus, providing both experience and community to its members. In DNM, students work together on projects to cater toward their desired career fields in the media and entertainment industries. DNM facilitates learning opportunities to supplement the lessons from MEA courses, allowing our members to reach an in-depth, hands-on understanding of equipment and different production processes.

kappa tau alpha
Kappa Tau Alpha is a college honor society that recognizes academic excellence and promotes scholarship in journalism and mass communication.
lambda pi eta
Lambda Pi Eta is the official Communication Studies honor society of the National Communication Association. It is a fully accredited by the Association of College Honor Societies.
Requirements for Acceptance:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA with 60 semester hours completed.
- 3.25 GPA for communication studies courses with 12 semester hours completed.
public relations student society of America (PRSSA)
To serve it's members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development opportunities. To serve the public relations profession by helping to develop highly qualified, well prepared professionals.

southern miss speech and debate team
The Southern Miss Speech and Debate is a student-driven organization dedicated to the advocacy of college debate, promotion of free speech and expression, and the study of the art of rhetoric at the University of Southern Mississippi.
